The efficacy of purine antagonists has been proved in clinical trials by suppression of homograft rejection and autoimmune diseases, particularly autoimmune hemolytic anemia/LlT Several publications deal with the application of this treatment to adults, ’4’1 #{176}’17 but to the best of our knowledge this is the first communication describing its use in infants and small children with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The inherent difficulties in treating this age group and the success achieved by Imuran justify a brief communication on 3 small children with acquired hemolytic anemia associated with autoantihodies.
